YDD 2012 Print E-mail
News

Dua-1Aims & Objectives:
YDD enters its 5th year and with the blessings of the Almighty, is moving from strength to strength. It is however important that the aims and objectives of YDD are made transparent for all so that we can work together for the betterment of our children and youth.
YDD has been set up to act as a “refresher programme” for our youngsters particularly in the recitation of Dua’s commonly recited during the Holy Month of Ramadhan. The emphasis is to polish, brush-up and enhance the level of recitation of Dua’s.
Entry Criteria:
To allow YDD to meet its objective, it is important that those attending are able to recite “big” Qur’an with some degree of fluency. Your child may be required to be pre-screened upon registration to ensure they meet the above criteria. We appreciate that there may be children who fall short of the above requirement, but at this stage, due to limited resources at our disposal, we can only accept children who demonstrate the above criteria.
As far as age criteria goes, provided the above criteria is first met, we will accept children between the ages 4 to 16
Dua classes:
YDD will cater for recitation of the following Dua’s: 3 Short Dua’s (recited after Maghrib/Eisha Salaat); Dua Iftetah; Dua Tawassul and Dua Jawshan Kabeer.
Dates:
Registration and pre-screening will be held on:
•    Thursday 10th May 2010 at 7.45pm for Girls
•    Thursday 17th May 2010 at 8pm for Boys. Classes for Boys will commence on Thursday 24th May 2010.

Main Hall / ELC allocation:
A child wishing to recite one of the Dua’s taught within YDD will need to be screened by the YDD teachers before their name is submitted to the Mukhi sub-committee for allocation. (This applies to both boys and girls)
